1951 MG TD Frame off restoration
I am moving overseas for a few years and can't take my whole harem with me so please help me find her a good home.
1951 MGTD, It was a frame up restoration in 1991 I have all of the records and receipts from the original restoration as well as a detailed diary of the process by the person we bought the car from. The price is $9,500.00 as it sits.
Two years ago while transporting, she lightly kissed the rear end of a Toyota Land Cruiser at about 2mph from brake failure. As you can see the damage is cosmetic. With some some minor body work, a few parts, and some TLC the car will overall be great.
It will need a new radiator - it is best to use a Renault radiator as it is dual core and can stand the Texas heat. The original radiators are inadequate for most southern states in over 80 degree weather. The surround and grille will also need repair. Replacing the brake seals will repair the brakes, and a brake job will ensure safety. Side windows they are included as well. The interior and top are in pretty good shape, but have a little moisture mold from sitting underneath a cover. The motor and transmission are in great shape the motor does start but needs the radiator repaired to run for any amount of time.
With some TLC and 3-5K you would have a car worth 19-26K easily, and much more in years to come. As time allows I may begin doing some work on her and the price will go up accordingly. I would love to keep the car, but I think it's cruel to ignore her while I will be out of the country.
