RBC Curtiss H75 Hawk (028-00030)

$99.00

The Curtiss H75 "HAWK" from RBC Models displays excellent flying performance with the speed 600/8,4V motor on 8 cells 1700mAh, a 12x10 gearprop and the Master Airscrew gearbox.  With this combination, you have plenty of power for easy hand launching without stress, and 6.5 minutes of flying time with easy loops and rolls.

The Curtiss Hawk is a complete kit that frames up quickly using an unconventional but straightforward and innovative building style.  The fuselage is built crutch style - one straight horizontal fuselage piece for the full length of the fuselage is positioned on the building board, to this piece you add all the parts that make up the fuselage (approx. 1 hour work).   Longerons are then added from 3mm balsa and shaped to form. The tail feathers are then added from parts that are CNC cut to ensure proper alignment.  Also supplied in the kit are the vacuformed cowling and canopy.  The canopy is supplied smooth as we found it easier to add prepainted self adhesive tape to the canopy for simulating the canopy ribs.  The wing is quickly assembled by simply adding ribs to the mainspars, completing the bottom sheeting, adding required wing internals (control cables etc.) and complting the wing by adding the top sheeting.  For covering, jap tissue and filler dope is recommended by the manufacturer, but film covering also works well.

The model in the picture is painted with Humbrol with an all up weight of 2.86lb (1300g) including the pilot.
